About Automersive

Automersive helps organisations embed accountable AI into document-intensive workflows.

The technology has advanced dramatically. Capabilities that were once limited or imperfect can now often be applied with real operational value. But while adoption has accelerated, understanding has not always kept pace.

Many organisations can see the opportunity. Far fewer have a clear view of where these technologies genuinely fit, how they should be governed, and how to embed them into real work without adding unnecessary complexity.

Automersive exists to help close that gap.

Why Automersive exists

I did not set out to start another company.

After years of building, leading and advising technology businesses, I expected to remain selectively involved. But the recent step-change in capability, and the widening gap between what organisations could do with these tools and what they were actually doing, made that unrealistic.

Things that previously worked only reasonably well can now often be done extremely well. At the same time, the market has become noisier: more adoption, more experimentation, and more confusion about what these technologies are good at, where they should sit, and how they should be controlled.

Automersive is my response to that moment: bringing together earlier experience in search, document automation and enterprise software with current, hands-on understanding of what today’s tools can really do.

About Peter Wallqvist

My career has been spent at the intersection of engineering, unstructured information, AI and enterprise workflow.

I started in engineering and research, including BT Research, before going on to deliver enterprise search and information systems for organisations including Bloomberg, EY and GlaxoSmithKline. Later, I co-founded RAVN Systems, where we built AI-driven software for document-intensive industries and grew the business organically to more than 50 people before its acquisition by iManage in 2017.

Following the acquisition, I served as VP of Strategy at iManage, focusing on how intelligence capabilities could be integrated into a widely used document platform in the professional services market. Today, alongside Automersive, I serve as a Non-Executive Director of BTG Consulting plc, formerly Begbies Traynor Group plc, and continue to advise organisations on technology strategy, product direction and digital transformation.

How Automersive works

The aim is not to add another disconnected layer of technology.

Automersive focuses on embedding capability cleanly into the workflows, systems and controls that already matter to the organisation. That means practical implementation, human oversight where needed, traceability, and a strong bias towards using the client’s own environment and existing stack wherever sensible.

In other words: not AI as theatre, but AI as part of the operating model.

Work with Automersive

If your organisation is thinking seriously about how AI and automation should fit into real document-intensive work, Automersive can help you approach it with clarity, practicality and control.
